Job Title: Analyst, Direct Marketing
Job Description:
The Analyst will be a member of the online advertiser channel team and will provide analytical support for all facets of the online business including acquisition, retention and development programs. He / she will evaluate the effectiveness of marketing programs, make recommendations for improvement, and have a complete understanding of all segments of Overture’s online advertiser customer base. Responsibilities: ·Insight development across all advertiser segments. Be intimately familiar with Overture’s online advertiser base. ·Key player across all stages of marketing program development, execution and post-program analysis including: o Selecting participant criteria and generating information; o Developing test cells and parsing data; o Working with Business Information Group to determine and develop reporting needs and requirements; o Coordinating data needs across functional departments o Collecting appropriate program data, creating reports, reporting on findings and drawing conclusions. ·Develop actionable models and profiles for key business metrics. ·Leverage Company datamart to improve efficiency and effectiveness of acquisition and retention / development programs. ·Evaluate, understand and communicate online channel performance versus set goals. Able to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations. ·Excellent verbal and written communication skills. ·Knowledge of basic financial principles, reporting, and ratios related to direct marketing ·Previous experience working as an analyst in a multi-channel marketing environment ·Knowledge of visual techniques for data analysis and presentation. ·Knowledge of or experience in the analysis of large data sets to find useful relationships (data mining). ·Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. ·Very high attention to detail. ·Strong interpersonal skills with focus on teamwork. ·Extremely proactive with a strong bias for action - - naturally inquisitive; desire to continuously improve current business practices / processes. ·Strong computer skills including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. ·Expertise with SAS package required. ·Knowledge of mathematics, optimization, or other quantitative analysis preferred. ·Knowledge of or experience with general ideas in data warehousing and databases preferred. ·Bachelor’s Degree in an analytical or quantitative field from a top university
