Job Title: Director, Inside Sales
Job Description:
The Director/Senior Director of Inbound Sales oversees the operation of an important segment of the Direct Sales group. He/she will use their strategic vision to manage, develop and grow Inbound Sales to meet company objectives. Inbound Sales is responsible for fielding incoming calls from potential clients, education those clients on the Overture business model and closing new business. New account (first 90 days) management of these clients offers the opportunity to maximize client potential and ensure client success with Overture by providing world-class customer service. Outbound sales activities to existing clients, with the goal of up-selling existing channels or cross selling into new products, round out the responsibilities of the team. Recruiting, training and developing employees within Inbound Sales are a key responsibility of this position. Responsibility for budgeting, staff planning, sales planning, product development (in partnership with Marketing) and technological innovation are also important abilities and responsibilities. The successful Director/Senior Director works well in a team environment and is able to attain both team and individual goals. Responsibilities: ∑Provide excellent leadership and motivation to a hard-charging sales organization, and develop winning sales and new business development strategies ∑Consistently meet or exceed non-quota based performance metrics as defined by the company ∑Oversee staff planning, goal setting and budgeting for the Inbound group ∑Ensure that the Inbound team provides the highest levels of customer service through the appropriate use of people, performance management and technology ∑Develop a strategic vision and tactical execution plan for the future growth and development of Inbound Sales. ∑Evaluate and improve staffing, training, development and retention mechanisms ∑Work closely with the Marketing Department to refine existing products and develop new product and service channels ∑Work closely with other teams and departments within company to ensure that the responsibilities and duties of Inbound Sales will contribute to the companyís goals and enhance both the advertiser and user experience ∑Develop, implement and manage an internal and external client service quality assurance program ∑Oversees sales reporting, analysis and forecasting ∑Identify strategic business opportunities for the company Requirements -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Experience, training: ∑7 more years total sales experience ∑5 or more years experience directly managing a fast-paced, quality-focused, inbound or outbound telesales organization ∑Advertising sales experience preferred ∑Demonstrated record of success in a fast-paced, goal-oriented sales environment ∑Solid understanding of the Internet is required ∑Experience managing a large client base ∑Demonstrated success in development and management of operational staffing models and budgets ∑Strategic thinker who can lead overall planning of the Inside Sales operation ∑Proven history of managing a team to successfully attain or exceed quotas ∑Demonstrated ability to grown revenue from existing client base ∑Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills ∑Proven and quantifiable success in improving a teamís performance, productivity and performance against goals ∑Ability to work towards common goals in a group sales environment ∑The ability to perform in a fast-paced internet environment is absolutely mandatory ∑Ability to interact with all senior department heads across the company and provide insight into customer issues and needs on an ongoing basis
